A conversation at a friends get-together between John Hickleton and Simon Dawson led to the concept of the Old Rockers Podcast. Several of the people they’d work with as musicians had a fascinating history that would only surface briefly in a dressing room discussion, or be mentioned in passing by a good friend. Our hosts, John and Simon, wondered if they could capture some stories, as told by the musicians, sound engineers, producers and those involved with making music. With little more than a concept, John approached Mark and together the three of them started the ball rolling interviewing a good friend, Dave Miles. It’s already been a worthwhile journey, navigating the pitfalls, and now, with their first series nearly complete, a sense they’ve captured a special moment in time. The guests in this series have been amazing! That’s easily said, but so true. The feedback from listeners has been unbelievable, and we thank everyone who has supported us; wives, friends, etc. We’re so humbled by the support. We don’t have a clue where it will lead, and that’s part of the fun. Well, actually… We have an idea where it might lead – Old Rockers on the Road!
